How to create a Facebook Business Manager account

Do you know how to create an account on Facebook Business Manager? It’s simple, but before signing up you need to have a company page on Facebook.

To reach your goal you must follow a series of steps.

Steps to create a Facebook Business Manager account

Step 1

Access to business.facebook.com and click Create account.

To be able to access you must log in to your personal Facebook. For security reasons, this is the only way the platform can verify your identity.

Step 2

Specify the name of your business. Make sure it is written correctly, without spelling mistakes. Click Continue!

Step 3

Now you have to create a profile with personal information. It will confirm your name and email to receive notifications.

After you click Finish, you will be directed to the welcome screen of the Facebook business manager.

Once you enter the platform, you will see what is shown in the following capture:

Start configuring your business manager! These three actions that we explain below are only the beginning.

Add a Page to your account

Click on the “pages” button and click on “Add New Page“. You can select one of these three options:

  • Add a Page: You can add Facebook Pages that you manage to your business admin account. You just need to enter the name or URL of the page.
  • Request access to a page: Request permission to add a Facebook page to your business manager account. Again you must enter the name or URL of the page.
  • Create a new page: If your business has no Facebook page, you must create one.

Add a Publicity account

Go to “advertising accounts” on the right side of the page, click on “Add new advertising accounts“. There are three possibilities:

  • Add an advertising account: You must be the owner and administrator in the Business manager of that account.
  • Request access to an advertising account: After requesting it the administrator of that Business manager must give you permission to work on it.
  • Create an advertising account

Add people

Press “people” and on the “people and assets” tab, click on “Add people“. To enter them it will only be necessary the work email of each one and to select the role that you want to assign them. These people will then receive an invitation to join that commercial administrator.

Once you define the right role for each person, you can assign them assets and determine the level of access they can have.

This step is fundamental, especially if you have an agency that manages several clients or if you have a company with different departments.
